Finding Cleaning Jobs in Scarborough: Abe's No-BS Guide
Alright, let's talk real talk about finding a cleaning job in Scarborough. You're looking for work, and you need to know where to start, what matters, and how to actually get hired. As someone who's run a cleaning company, Simple Service Inc., since 2015, and personally cleaned hundreds of facilities from Scarborough to Montreal to Vancouver, I've got some perspective.
TL;DR: The cleaning industry in Scarborough is always hiring. Your best bet is to look beyond generic job boards, focus on reliability and a good attitude, and don't be afraid to connect directly with local commercial cleaning companies or businesses.
Look, Scarborough is a big place. You've got everything from the busy retail hubs around Scarborough Town Centre, to the industrial parks stretching along Morningside Avenue, to countless office buildings in Scarborough Centre and medical clinics in Woburn. This means there's a constant demand for good cleaners. But how do you actually find those jobs and make sure you're getting a fair shake?
Where the Jobs Are (Beyond Just Online Listings)

Direct Outreach to Businesses: Think about places you frequent in Scarborough. Retail stores, small offices, medical facilities in Agincourt, even restaurants around Kennedy Road. Many of these places, especially the smaller ones, hire directly or use smaller local cleaning companies. Walk in, ask if they're hiring, or if they can recommend a cleaning service. I've landed contracts, and found some of my best team members, through simple word-of-mouth and direct connection. One time, I was finishing up a post-construction cleanup near Birchmount and Eglinton, totally covered in dust, and the property manager from the building next door walked by, saw us working, and asked for a card. That led to a steady gig! That’s how it works.
Local Cleaning Companies: This is a big one. Companies like Simple Service Inc. are always on the lookout. We operate across the GTA, and Scarborough is a core service area for us. We're often looking for reliable people for our Office Cleaning in Scarborough or Industrial Cleaning in Scarborough crews. We've got a dedicated Scarborough Location Page where you can learn more about our local operations. Don't just look for
